Sergio relocated to Clarksville, Tennessee from his native state of New York. The Army assigned him to Fort Campbell as his initial duty station. After his military service, Sergio pursued higher education at Austin Peay State University, where he met his spouse, Catie. In 2005, Catie obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, followed by Sergio's graduation with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2006.
